The Original Pancake House of West Caldwell is 1/3 of the family franchise & 1/137 locations in NJ. This particular location really brings a homestyle feel. As soon as I walked through the door I immediately felt as if I was a part of the family, walking into my aunt’s house for breakfast.

I was so surprised to see this place so busy on a weekday morning, but come the end of the meal, it made sense; excellent service and even better food! While this is a breakfast chain, the owners focus on creating delicious specials seasonally that incorporate guest favorites with their own unique spin. I was so impressed by the variability of the menu. Of course they offer the classic pancakes, waffles, crepes, etc; but also use fruit and other add-in’s to truly personalize each dish as something for everyone! When it comes to the kitchen, there is no short cuts. All of the buttermilk used for the pancake batter is made in house with their own special recipe. And of course what would breakfast be without the best homemade whipped cream to top off your dish?
