The Love of Grub is the cutest breakfast/lunch spot in Clifton, NJ. The brightly colored, unique atmosphere shares a laid back vacation vibe, as if you’re in a cafe in down town Key West, FL. And if you’re looking to soak in some fresh air, the beautiful outdoor garden area offers a great spot for a private party or on a first come first serve basis. This spot prides themselves on being environmentally conscientious and sustainable (aka you won’t find plastic straws here); as well as serving up the freshest and tastiest dishes made in house to order.
The menu offers many classic brunch favorites as well as some unique specials. During my visit I had the opportunity to try a very special Ramp Butter Burger. While you likely will not be able to get your hands on this delicacy, it was extra special as these ramps only grow in the wild three weeks out of the year, but even more so that these were harvested by the owner just a few days before I got the chance to taste them. Although this is a very short lived dish, they offer new specials on a weekly basis that tend to be just as unique and delicious. If you are looking for a breakfast fix, you should know that all of the pancake and french toast batter is made in house and cooked fresh to order. The taste is not comparable to any other pancakes you have had before. If you’re leaning towards lunch, be warned the house-made french fries served with your specialty burger are sure to keep you coming back for more. The choice possibilities here are truly endless! So for the Love of Grub, grab your mom, some friends, or significant other and head on over to get your fix!
