Orchard Park by David Burke

Orchard Park is nestled in the beautiful lobby of the Grand Chateau Hotel. As soon as you pull into the parking lot, you immediately feel as if you’re going to dine with royalty; just a picture perfect property and surroundings. While there is plenty of self-parking, they do also offer valet. Upon entering the building, there is a dress code as they hold true to the fine dining environment.

The open kitchen concept makes the dining room feel extremely open, modern, and gives the illusion that the guest is involved in the preparation of their meal. I was so impressed with the presentation of our food and the attention to detail on the platings, right down to the signature David Burke steak knife. Specifically, the presentation of their Clothesline Bacon being flambéed then cut table side was extremely impressive. While the main course was cooked to perfection, I must highlight how incredible dessert was. Not only is there a large variety of desserts available, it was so difficult to choose, as one tasted better than the next.

While I did not get the chance to meet the legend himself, I was told the Chef David Burke is often in the kitchen working on creating these masterpieces as well as interacting with the guests. Chef Burke is a New Jersey native, that has obtained numerous amounts of awards, as well as being a guest chef on Food Network’s Top Chef, but continues to make time to spend with the restaurant community.

If you are drawn to to unique and over the top dining styles in an upscale environment like I am, you are sure to love this spot! I would highly recommend this as a special occasion or date night type spot, although they do have the space to accommodate larger groups; just be sure to make a reservation!
